In this article we will look at a way to set up an alert(sound) for an Anti-passback zone(APB zone).


1. Go to Settings -> Preferences



2. In the Sound section, click on "+Add" button


3. In the Edit Sound window, click on "Browse" button to add the sound file that you want, and enter the Sound Name as you would like.

- you can listen to what this sound is by clicking the "play" button on the right of the Sound Name bar.



*Please note that you can only use .wav or .mp3 files that are up to 10MB large.


4. Go to Settings -> Alert



5. In the Zone section, put a check on "Anti-passback zone alarm detected", and press the paper icon on the right.


 

6. In the Alert Message window, select the alert that you set previously in Sound Name bar.

- you can also listen to the alert by clicking on "play" button on the right.

- you can set Play options as you like

    -> Once: only alerting once at the time of entering Anti-passback zone

    -> Loop until acknowledged: keep alerting sound until someone presses acknowledge button

    -> Silent: do not sound at all


*If you do not get the sound that you want for configured situation, please check first if this set up is in "Silent." 


*Please make sure to hit "apply" button for all the windows to have all of the changes effective, in all of the articles, this action is assumed and not told otherwise.


7. Follow the instruction on the links in Knowledgebase that is provided at the beginning of the article.
