From CoreStation f/w version 1.3.1, you can access SETUP Manager. You can configure CroeStation IP by connecting PC with CoreStation directly without Ethernet connection. It brings far more convenient for installer to set up CoreStation. However, there might be difficulties if you are not familiar with this kind of program so we would like to give you setting guide. 

 

How to set CoreStation static IP via SETUP Manager 


  1. Connect CoreStation with your PC in 1:1 via Ethernet cable 
  2. Access SETUP Manager at Web Server IP https://169.254.0.1:3001(ID: admin / PW: admin) 
    1. You will be required to set admin ID and PW 
      1. Go to “Configuration” and uncheck “Use DHCP”
  3. Go to “Configuration” and uncheck “Use DHCP” 

4. Set CoreStation IP (Ex, 192.168.14.231)

5. Click “Apply”

6. Log out SETUP Manager.

7. Connect CoreStation with BioStar2 (network environment) 

8. You can search and add CoreStation in BioStar 2

 

If you want to use DHCP IP for CoreStation, check “Use DHCP”  

 

** Note 

  1. CANNOT use CoreStation SETUP Manager with BioStar2 server at same time.
  2. To connect CoreStation with BioStar2 server, you should LOG OUT from SETUP Manager.
  3. To connect SETUP Manager, BioStar2 service in ‘BioStar Setting” should be stopped. 

 

** Note 

If you want to access SETUP Manager again after changing CoreStation IP, you should set PC IP bandwidth same as CS-40 IP bandwidth first otherwise you cannot access SETUP manager at https://169.254.0.1:3001. For example, in case that CoreStation IP is changed to 192.168.14.231, PC IP should be set 192.168.14.xxx.


FAQ 

 

1. I cannot access SETUP Manager after changing Web Server IP

 

It is recommended not to change Web Server IP but if you should change Web Server IP, you can change in settings page.



When you access SETUP Manager with the changed Web Server IP, please set PC IP bandwidth same as Web Server IP first. For example, in case that Web Server IP is changed to 192.168.14.2, PC IP should be set 192.168.14.xxx. You can access SETUP Manager at https://192.168.14.2:3001

 

 

2. I forgot the Web Server IP I changed. How can I access SETUP Manager?  

 

In this case, CoreStation network should be initialized. 

 

  • Push init button on CoreStation more than 4 seconds
  • After few minutes, you can access SETUP Manager at https://169.254.0.1:3001 
  • ID and PW are not initialized so you cannot access with ID: admin and PW: admin
  • You can log in with admin ID and PW that you previously set 

 

 

3. How can I do factory initialization for CoreStation? 

 

        a. Factory initialization via BioStar2

- Connect CoreStation with BioStar2 

- Go to ‘Server’ and set “Secure Communication with Device” as “USE” and apply 

- Push init button on CoreStation 4 times straight 

- After few minutes, you can access SETUP Manager at https://169.254.0.1:3001 

- You can log in with ID: admin and PW: admin 

 

        b.Factory initialization via SETUP Manager 

- Connect CoreStation with SETUP Manager 

- Click “Factory Default” button in configuration page.
