For better encryption options and information security, please use BioStar 2.
Default BioStar 1 Encryption
Device
- user information is encrypted
- fingerprint template is not encrypted in BioStation 1, X-Station, D-Station, FaceStation, BioStation T2
> Refer to Encrypting Fingerprint Data in Devices Other than Entry Devices below to turn on encryption
- fingerprint template is encrypted in entry devices - BioEntry W, BioEntry Plus, Xpass, Xpass S2
Server
- fingerprint template is not encrypted
> refer to Encrypting User Data in the Server below to turn on the feature
Note: information is still secure because communication is encrypted with AES 256
Device Communication
- encrypted with AES256
