Feature Overview

Mobile access cards allow users to unlock doors using their smartphones via Bluetooth or NFC. These cards can be issued to registered employees, visitors, and members within the Airfob Portal. Users can download only one mobile access card per site, but they can own multiple cards if issued from different sites.

What is a Mobile Access Card?

Carrying Access Cards on Your Smartphone

  • Mobile access cards can be issued to users registered on Airfob Portal.
  • Once issued, users can download the card onto the app and unlock doors using Bluetooth or NFC.

Dynamic vs. Regular Cards

  • Dynamic Cards: Require an internet connection for administrators to manage user access in real time.
  • Regular Cards: Can be used without an internet connection after being downloaded.

Issuing a Mobile Access Card

Step 1: Add a Card

  • Click Add Card on the Add User or Edit User screen.

Note: If you only want to add a user without issuing a card, click Add User instead.

Step 2: Check Card Information (for Dynamic Sites)

  • The Card ID is automatically generated.
  • If needed, enter a custom Card ID manually.

Step 3: Set the Validity Period

  • Select a predefined validity period (e.g., 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 year).
  • Alternatively, manually set the start and expiration dates.

Note: The expiration date cannot be earlier than the start date.

Step 4: Check Card Information (for Regular Sites)

  • The Card ID is automatically generated.
  • If needed, enter a custom Card ID manually.
