Feature Overview
The Registered Devices menu displays all installed devices at your site. If no devices have been registered, this list will be empty. Typically, distributors update this list when they install Airfob devices and services in your space.
From this menu, you can manage device information and device groups. This guide explains the functions available in the Registered Devices menu.
Previewing the Registered Devices Table
The table provides key information about each registered device:
- Product: Device image and product name
- Model Name: Device model name
- Device ID: Serial number
- Device Group: The group the device belongs to (can be empty if unassigned)
- Display Name: A customizable name (e.g., installed location)
- Battery: Displays only for battery-powered devices
- Timezone: The device's set timezone
Functions Available in the Registered Devices Menu
1. Refresh
After updating the device list, click the Refresh button to reload the updated menu.
2. Firmware Update
If a device has a newer firmware version available, it can be updated remotely. Firmware updates are only available if a custom firmware has been created at the customer’s request or if an updated version is provided by MOCA System.
3. Lock/Unlock Schedule Settings
This function allows scheduling device access times independently of access levels.
Example: Setting Business Hours for an Entrance
- Select the device installed at the main entrance.
- Click the ⁝ icon and select Lock/Unlock Schedule Settings.
- Check the box for Use Schedule.
- Set the start time (e.g., 10:00 AM) and end time (e.g., 8:00 PM), then click OK.
Note: During the set time, anyone can enter the area. Employees needing access outside of these hours must be assigned an appropriate access level.
4. Move to Group
Devices can be assigned to or moved between groups.
Example: Changing a Device's Group
- Find the device in the list.
- Click the ⁝ icon and select Move to Group.
- In the pop-up window, select the new group (e.g., Laboratory) and click OK.
5. Ungroup
Removes a device from its assigned group, leaving it ungrouped but still functional.
To ungroup a device, select it and click the Ungroup button.
Creating a New Device Group
Devices can be grouped for easier management based on location, usage, department, etc.
- Click Create Group at the top left.
- Enter a group name (e.g., 17th Floor or Laboratory).
- Select devices to include in the group.
- Click OK to create the group.
If you need a subgroup, click the ⁝ icon next to a group name and select Create Subgroup. Groups can be renamed or deleted at any time.
