We’re continuing to expand and improve BioStar Air based on real-world feedback from customers. As more large-scale deployments come online, we’ve made several targeted improvements to ensure the system stays fast, reliable, and easy to manage—whether you're running a 5-door site or managing thousands of users.

Here’s what’s new this month:

1. Dashboard Now Loads Faster on Large Sites

Some administrators with very large sites (thousands of users and hundreds of thousands of events) experienced slow dashboard loading. We’ve made backend changes to reduce loading time by caching data instead of rendering everything in real time. You’ll still get updated data regularly—just with less waiting.

2. Faster Registered User List (Even With Thousands of Users)

The Registered Users screen has been optimized to load the first page instantly while preloading the rest in the background. On large sites, you may see a brief loading bar after you open the page. Total results will appear faster and more smoothly.

3. Biometric Reader Auto-Sync Fixed

Some customers noticed that updates to user access weren’t immediately reflected on biometric readers (BioStation 3 and BioEntry W3). We’ve adjusted the sync logic so that these readers now update automatically and immediatelywhen you modify users.

4. Reader Actions Blocked During Sync

When you’re syncing a large number of users to readers (like during initial setup), it may take a few minutes for the reader to sync. During these long syncs we now temporarily block certain actions remotely unlocking doors attached to readers where sync is in progress. This prevents system conflicts and helps ensure smooth onboarding.

5. API Improvements: Better Validation, Better Debugging

If you're using the BioStar Air API, you'll notice stricter validation of data types. This prevents accidental misconfigurations and improves error reporting. Expect clearer HTTP status codes and detailed error messages—making it easier to debug and safer to integrate.
