BioStar X version 1.0.1 is now available at the Suprema Download Center.


This release improves administrative traceability with new Audit Trail records.


Licensing is also more flexible. The T&A license can be activated on all base licenses, and Capacity upgrade is supported from the Essential license.

It also adds the IR Face credential and a new account menu in the top navigation bar.


1. Audit Trail Improvements

BioStar X v1.0.1 records more administrative activity in the Audit Trail.


Reason Entry for Print and Export

Administrators can enter a reason when printing or exporting data in the following menus. The entered reason is shown in the Audit Trail.

Login Failure History

The Audit Trail now records login failures. Administrators can review failed sign-in attempts.

2. License Improvements

BioStar X v1.0.1 lets you add licenses with fewer tier restrictions.

  • T&A license: The BioStar X Attendance Management (T&A) license can be activated on all base licenses (Device Manager or higher).
  • Capacity upgrade: Capacity upgrade is supported starting from the Essential license.

3. Account Menu in the Top Navigation Bar

BioStar X v1.0.1 adds a menu to the top navigation bar. The signed-in account can change the following items directly from this menu:

  • Preference settings
  • Password

4. IR Face Credential

BioStar X v1.0.1 adds the IR Face credential. IR Face is a separate credential from Face.

Bug Fixes

BioStar X v1.0.1 includes the following main fixes:

  • Improved the startup performance of the BioStar X Core Web Service. The sign-in popup message is clearer when the service is stopped or still starting.
  • Fixed a server crash during Roll Call when the same user's authentication events had the same timestamp on different devices.
  • Fixed bugs and optimized services to improve overall system stability.
