In BioStar 1, the administrator configured the Access Group and Timezone in the Access Control Menu and then added users to each Access Group one by one, or moved to the user menu to apply multiple access groups to users which was not convenient.

In BioStar 2, the administrator can apply multiple levels (Door + schedule) to users or groups of users at the same Access Control menu through the Access Group.
That is why that concept was added in BioStar 2.
