BioStar 1: Description of File I/O Error

Summary

The [File I/O Error] might be occurred during user transmission by 4 reasons below.


1) The different version of BioStar Client, Server, and DB table information

2) Corrupted user data information

3) Inappropriate template data size

4) Enabled [Fake Finger Detection] option



Workaround and Check list

1) The different version of BioStar Client, Server, and DB table information : Confirm the each version and confirm TB_ADMIN option of Biostar DB.

2) Corrupted user data information

Restore the backup DB if you have original backup DB and confirm the issue.


3) Inappropriate template data size or template format

A fingerprint template should be 384 byte and a user should have two templates per a finger.

Confirm the data if you insert the information to DB directly.


4) Enabled [Check Fake Finger] option

Due to the option, the user information will be handled as fake finger when there is same user fingerprint.

Disable [Check Fake Finger] option during user transmission as a temporary way.
