From BioStar 2 version 2.9.7, Suprema does not provide the installation file of Chrome.
- Please install the proper Chrome version additionally once your installation is completed.
- According to the BioStar v2.9.7 administrator guide, Google Chrome version 100 or later is compatible with BioStar 2.
- If you have to consider using Microsoft Edge, please contact Suprema technical support team before you use that.
New Features and Improvements
1. Discontinuation of support for the BioStar 2 VIDEO.

[Note] If you are using BioStar 2 VIDEO, you should not upgrade to BioStar 2 v2.9.8. Upgrading to this version will cause all functionalities of BioStar 2 VIDEO to be disabled.
2. Supports Custom User Field - File Upload option that allows files to be uploaded to user information.
- You can upload and save a specific file in the user's information using the "File Upload" function of the Custom User Field in the Server in the Settings.
- To learn how to use this function in detail, please refer to Chapter 1 in the above-shared webinar for v2.9.8.
3. Added Device Display Message UI to enter a private message to be displayed on the device screen during user
authentication.

4. Added an option to set face authentication to deny authentication if a mask is worn.
- To enhance facial authentication accuracy, Suprema has added the new option "Use (Deny access when wearing mask)" in the Mask Detection of Mask Configuration.
If you use this new option, any facial authentication will be rejected if a user wearing a mask tries the facial authentication.
- Note that this function can only be used with BioStation 3 with firmware version v1.3.1 for now.
5. Added a separate management page for Deleted CSN Mobile Card.
6. Updated Timed Anti PassBack feature.
‒ Improved UI to allow setting Timed Anti Passback for each device.
‒ Added a Bypass Group for Timed Anti Passback.

7. Added Firmware Version to device list.
- You can see the firmware version of the device added to the device list.
8. Improved DOOR menu UI.
‒ Improved door Open Time setting UI.
- From v2.9.8, you can select the door open time in 1-second intervals or enter a value manually.
- Until v2.9.7 or a lower version, you can set the "Open Time" by dragging and selecting the already-set value within BioStar 2.
‒ Improved UI in the alarm settings to differentiate between Anti PassBack and Timed Anti PassBack.
- Starting from v2.9.8, you can set separate alarms for Anti PassBack and Timed Anti PassBack within the Alarm settings within the Door settings.
1) In v2.9.7 or earlier versions: You can only set a common alarm for both Anti PassBack and Timed Anti PassBack within the Anti PassBack section in the Alarm settings within the Door settings.
2) In v2.9.8: You can set each Alarm for Anti PassBack and Timed Anti PassBack separately in the "Anti PassBack" and "Timed Anti PassBack" in Alarm settings within the Door settings.
9. Improved REPORT performance.
‒ Merged report service into AC service.
‒ Changed filter condition from AND to OR when creating Custom Report.

6. When selecting a user group and performing an Advanced Search, and then printing, the user list does not print

8. When the account ID and password are saved in Chrome’s Passwords and autofill, certain fields are automatically
