Feature Overview
BioStar Air supports biometric readers and biometric credentials for secure, flexible access control. Compatible readers, such as BioStation 3 (BS3) and BioEntry W3 (W3), can authenticate users via facial authentication and can be configured for either single-factor (RF card or face) or two-factor (RF card + face) authentication. This feature includes advanced configuration options to optimize security, detection, and usability for your specific environment.
Navigating to the Feature
- Register readers: In the BioStar Air mobile app, register the reader as you would for any non-biometric reader.
- Device settings:Admin Portal → Device Management → Registered Devices → Click device to edit.
- User face credential setup:Admin Portal → User Management → Users → Add or Edit User → Scroll to Credential Detail.

Common Issues & Considerations
- Readers must have BioStar Air-compatible firmware to function properly.
- Firmware should always be updated to the latest version for full feature access.
- Face templates are limited to two per user.
- For two-factor authentication, both credentials must be registered in combination.
- For advanced settings, refer to the BS3 or W3 product manual.
