From BioStar 2 v2.9.5, the New Dashboard can be customized as desired by selecting the desired information for each login user, adding widgets, and freely arranging the widgets.

BioStar 2 Cloud cannot access [New Dashboard]. It's not supported.
Administrators or Custom Level login account can have their own dashboard with seven types of widgets.

Frequently Asked Question #1. Does the BioStar 2 New Dashboard have a timeout according to the BioStar 2 session timeout, or does it operate until the window is closed? >> It follows the BioStar 2 Session Timeout. For detailed Session Timeout settings, please refer to the BioStar 2 Administrator manual. #2. Where are the settings stored in the client profile? (In other words, if widgets are created with a specific login, are they displayed on all PCs used with this USER LOGIN, or is it browser-based?) >> Individual dashboards are saved for each user account, and the corresponding settings are stored in the BioStar 2 database. (The same dashboard will be visible on different PCs if using the same account, and different dashboards will be visible on the same PC when logging in with different accounts.) >> Widget information is stored in the BioStar 2 database.
How To Configure [New Dashboard] with BioStar 2.

1. Click [Launch New Dashboard] on the screen of BioStar 2 Dashboard.
2. Click [Add Widget].
You can click the icon to configure it too.
3. Select the desired Widget Types, then enter or set the required fields, depending on the widget.
After completing the settings of the widget, click Apply, and the widget will be created in the widget area. Adjust it
to the desired size and location, then click Apply, and the widget will be added to the New Dashboard.

[Chart and Chart Data]
You can make a chart and a chart data for the following events.
Chart Data: From the daily or weekly event list, select the desired chart data.
‒ Daily Access Granted, Daily Access Denied, Daily Communication Issue, Daily APB Violation, Weekly Access Granted, Weekly Access Denied, Weekly Communication Issue, Weekly APB Violation
Chart Type: Select the desired type among Vertical Bar, Horizontal Bar, Line, and Pie.
[Color Schemes per Chart Type]
Color Schemes: Select the desired color among 5 color schemes.
[Counter]
Selecting desired counter data enables the display of the number of events that occurred as a number.
• Counter Data: From the daily or weekly event list, select the desired counter data.

[Text]
You can enter and place desired text. After creation, you can put it in the required location and use it as a title for a widget or as a notice.
[Real-time Events]
Shows events occurring in BioStar 2 in real time. You can check events by filtering specific events, users, doors, and devices.
You do not have to click all options for the real-time events. It's for making filtered event logs in real-time.
For example, if you want to monitor the access denied, you can first choose the [Denied].
Then, click [Next] and the tab [DEVICES] to monitor the events in real time.
Click [Next] and [Apply].
Tips: If you cannot see the selected events, please make sure if the event is coming from doors or devices. Some of events are dedicated to a device or a door.
[Checkpoint]
User Profile Image can be displayed whenever the user authentication is a success.
Please make sure you add the user profile of each user information.
Select one device and display the profile photo and information (Name, ID, Period, Device Name) of the user who
successfully authenticated to the selected device in real-time.
One checkpoint can only have one device. If you need to display more devices, you need to add a new checkpoint per device.
Once you click [Apply], it will display the user profile of successful user authentication by the desired device in real-time.
[System Usage]
The various usage statuses of BioStar 2 are displayed in numbers.
• The usage status that can be displayed is as follows:
‒ User, Card, Fingerprint, Visual Face, Face, QR/Barcode, Mobile Access, Device, Door, Zone, Access Group, User
Group, Device Group
[Door Control]
Select one door to check and control its status.
Once you click [Apply] for the selected door, the door icon will show the unlocked, locked status as the icons
