Summary

Even if you match the BioStar 2 version and the firmware version of the device, an error pop-up occurs when you try to Data File Export/Import. The functions affected by each device are as follows.


1. BioStation 2

  • Data File Export, Data File Import in User menu
  • Data File Import in Monitoring menu

2. FaceLite

  • Data File Import in Monitoring menu


Relevant Error: 

  • The data file is not compatible with the current BioStar 2 version. Please upgrade the device‘s firmware and run export/import again.



Solution 

It will be fixed in regular BioStar 2.8.11.

Please download the patch for each version of BioStar 2.8.10.

<How to apply the patch>

1) Stop all BioStar 2 services at BioStar Setting.

2) Go to BioStar 2 directory and make a backup of 'biostar-server.exe'.

Directory:

    C:\Program Files\BioStar 2(x64)\logs  (64bit) 

    C:\Program Files\BioStar 2\logs  (32bit)


3) Replace the 'biostar-server.exe' with the patch version.

4) Start all BioStar services at BioStar Setting and check again.
